Alex James thinks flying is better than drugs.
The Blur bassist loves taking his friends for rides in light aircrafts because it gives them an amazing "natural high".
Recalling a recent flight with his farmhand Paddy, the 40-year-old musician said: "We bundled Paddy into the front of the airplane and had taken off before he knew what was happening.
"Other people's amazement is the best thing about flying. As we zoomed around the valley, I watched his head turn from left to right and back again.
"He was only a bit green afterwards. Flying is more expensive than drugs but better!"
Alex is so addicted to flying, he has even built an airstrip in a field at his farm in Oxfordshire, south east England.
He explained: "We're going to plough the top field for corn shortly, but I've decided to leave a landing strip in the middle.
"We found some old fence posts and marked it out. From now on I'm only travelling by plane. Cheaper than the train."
