As part of the Gourmet Glasgow dining festival, local food critics are getting a view from the other side as they become maitre d’ for the evening at various city restaurants over the month of August.

The List’s food and drink editor Donald Reid will have the tables turned on him at Cafézique on Hyndland Street on Monday 17 August. Book a table on that night and you’ll have the chance to see how he copes with running the front of house service, as well as finding out a bit more about what his ‘real’ job entails.

All proceeds on the night go to charity.
