Kate Moss is set to launch a £1 billion business empire with Simon Cowell.
The supermodel has joined forces with the music mogul and British businessman Sir Philip Green to form a global entertainment super-company which the trio hope will be able to compete with Disney.
The 35-year-old beauty will be directing the style and image of the brand, as well as giving fashion advice, and experts say if it is a success, she could double her fortune to £100 million.
Kate's friend said:"She has been signed as a figurehead and style setter for the fashion end of the business. She will bring her expertise to the table, advising on all branding and style for clothes, hair and accessories.
"She will also be involved in finding and signing new bands and promoting them. Something that has also been talked about is Kate developing her own singing career and starting a music label.
"She has a big network of people Philip and Simon have no access to and they want her to make the new venture hip."
Kate has become very close to Philip over the past few years since she signed up to create her own clothing range for Topshop - the chain of British high street stores he owns.
He was keen to get her on board for his new project as he is aware she is growing tired of modelling and wants a new challenge.
The friend added to Britain's Daily Mail newspaper: "Philip knows Kate has been looking for a way out of modelling for the past five years.
"She's only confided in her closest friends because she still has outstanding contracts. No one knows she met up with Simon and Philip two weeks ago to sign and agree the final deal."
