Michel McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow The comic designated by someone as the leader of the contemporary pack heads to the Brighton Dome for the final laughfest of the series. Micky Flanagan, Jo Caulfield, Jon Richardson and Al Murray make the punters spill their ice cream everywhere. BBC1, Sat 11 Jul, 9.40pm.
Sean Lock: Stand Up Quite simply one of the finest British stand-ups of the last decade, and almost always the best thing on those panel shows he’s constantly on nowadays. Channel 4, Sat 11 Jul, 10pm.
Ricky Gervais: Animals This is the one with the poster that parodies the Thriller album cover. How bad must you feel now, eh? E4, Sat 11 Jul, 11pm.
Tommy Tiernan: Bovinity One of the finest Irish stand-ups around, and almost never to be seen dead on a panel show. Though he does love to wind up the more religious among his fellow Emerald Islanders by being all controversial on Irish chat shows. Comedy Central, Sat 18 Jul, 10.35pm.
Bill Bailey: Tinselworm Filmed at Wembley Arena at the end of his UK sell-out tour, this show includes the hippie materialist’s trademark musical inventiveness and verbal dexterity as well as films and animation by award-winning maker of such things, one Joe Magee. More4, Fri 17 Jul, 11pm.
