Amelle Berrabah wants weight gain
Sugababes singer Amelle Berrabah has been steadily gaining weight since doctors said she was too thin
Amelle Berrabah says she will never return to a size zero.
The Sugababes singer was ordered by doctors to pile on the pounds after her weight plummeted in 2007, but she still feels too thin.
She said: "I've put on 6lbs since being in Los Angeles last month, recording our seventh album. I'm a size 8 now, but I'm determined to put on more weight."
Amelle, who joined the British girl band in 2005, regularly satisfies her cravings for junk food and revealed her appetite has improved since she split from fiance Freddie Fuller.
She explained: "I've always eaten carbs, but now I'm trying to eat more treats like chocolates and cookies. I feel less stressed now I'm starting a new chapter in my life."
Amelle, who ended her tumultuous relationship with Freddie in March, insists she is in no rush to find a new man.
The 25-year-old star said: "I'm happy to be single at the moment. When I do start looking for a man it won't be about looks. I want to be with someone who can make me laugh and hang out with me like one of my mates."
