Peter Andre wants to reunite with Katie Price, even though he thinks she is a "complete tart".
The 'Mysterious Girl' singer is planning to take back his estranged glamour model wife for the sake of their children son Junior, three, 23-month-old daughter Princess Tiaamii and her son from a previous relationship, six year-old Harvey.
The 36-year-old star reportedly told a friend: "I left Kate because at times she behaved like a complete tart, but this isn't just about her or me. The most important thing in our lives are our children. It would be best if we were reunited."
Peter flew to Cyprus to be with his family when news of the split broke last week, while Katie - also known as Jordan - fled to the Maldives with Princess and Junior.
Friends say Peter intended to leave Katie for good, but is missing the kids more than he expected.
A pal told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "When the separation was announced, at that stage in Peter's mind it was definitely over and he was adamant nothing could persuade him to go back.
"He's still resisting pressure to budge on that, but he's yearning for the children. He is in complete turmoil. He can live without Katie but not the children.
"If he was to have her back, there would have to be a massive change in her behaviour. She would have to stop her big nights out, to concentrate on being a good wife and mother."
Peter's uncle Michalis Violaris has revealed the Andre family wants a reunion between the pair.
He said: "The family are putting pressure on Peter to give the marriage another try. The family wants them to get back together to how it used to be. But Peter is very confused.
"I cannot get inside his mind, but all the time he sits around the house thinking about it. He's got his head in his hands lost in his own thoughts. He's under a lot of strain."
