Marisa Tomei's pole dancing fun
Marisa Tomei learnt several sexy "tricks" when she took pole dancing lessons for her role in 'The 'Wrestler'
Marisa Tomei loves pole dancing.
The 40-year-old actress - who starred alongside Mickey Rourke in the Oscar-nominated movie 'The Wrestler' - thoroughly enjoyed playing an ageing stripper.
She said: "I had about a month to learn! It was great fun but pole work is physically quite difficult."
Marisa - who was nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Oscar for the role - became so enthusiastic about her character she even came up with a few slinky moves of her own.
She said: "I actually had a few tricks up my sleeve that we never got to show...!"
Although the movie focuses on an ageing wrestler's battle to regain his former stardom, Marisa insists 'The Wrestler' has a more powerful undertone.
She explained to Total Film magazine: "It was about the sexual power and its relationship to women. Now that's not really a big part of the movie at all but it helped me key into the character and made the project meaningful for me."
