Driving disaster Bono

Bono's driving "terrifies people".

The U2 frontman's bandmate The Edge insists the singer's "creative" driving - which sometimes see him trying to play the group's CDs while at the wheel - scares most people who ride with him.

The Edge said: "Bono's a creative driver who sees the rules of the road as helpful suggestions. He's fine as long as he's not trying to play you music at the same time. Male brains are too mono-orientated.

"Bono's incredible at keeping the wide angle view, but when's he's driving he really can't. He has terrified people at different times trying to play our work in his car while he's driving."

U2 are embarking on their '360 Degrees' world tour - which includes 14 European dates and kicks off in Barcelona, Spain on June 30th - later this year.

The group's latest album 'No Line on the Horizon' is out now.
