Jennifer Aniston too broody for John

Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer split because the 'Friends' actress is desperate to start a family

Jennifer Aniston dumped John Mayer because he wasn't ready to have children.

The 'Friends' actress and the 'Gravity' singer - who had been dating on and off for around a year - ended their relationship last week, with Jennifer's desire to start a family said to be the catalyst for the split.

A source told America's OK! magazine: "She was truly ready to move on. John wasn't ready to father her child so she ended it."

John, 31, and Jennifer, 40, are said to have ended their romance on good terms, and have not ruled out getting back together in the future.

Another source said: "They left the door open to give it another go. John's number one priority at the moment is his music, it's all-consuming for him."

It has previously been reported Jennifer was keen for John to commit to their future together, including promising he would change his lifestyle when they started a family.

Jennifer has previously spoken of her desire to have children.

She said: "I feel it's in my future and I'm on the verge of it in some way. I want to have children. That's my plan. Of course I'd like to be a mother some day, and I love children."

I have already stopped listening to John Mayer's music because I have no admiration or respect for him whatsoever. Quite frankly I am sick to death of his public twittering and leaks to the press and constantly changing his mind from one day to the next. If however, Jennifer Aniston, who has millions of followers worldwide who admire and at times worship her, were to get back together with Mayer again, I would refrain from being a follower or watching her movies.

Jennifer Aniston sent out a strong message during the breakup with Brad Pitt and pre and post divorce. Women admired her for her courage and her dignity. In fact it was Newsweek ? who bestowed on her a woman of the year award. This relationship and the reactions to John Mayer and the world is sending out a very different message and I am having difficulty understanding that.

John Mayer is bad news Jen...lock the door and throw the key away.

Basically Jen, don't expect us to believe that you are prepared to settle for second best and the 'not perfect' relationship well as the "not forever" part. You are trying too hard to stay in this jerk's life by making excuses all the time. You are trying to change your whole being just to fit into his very busy and selfish lifestyle. Sad part is, the excuses are not even necessary, it's written all over his face and he twitters about it for everyone to see...'carved in blood' deadline bit..... Now the "not ready to be a father" crops up....give us a break..this is sickening. This is SUCH BAD PR for everyone concerned.
