Angels calling Jade Goody
Jade Goody had to call off her plans for an early Mother's Day celebration yesterday (15.03.09) as she is too ill
Jade Goody told her sons "the angels are calling" her yesterday (15.03.09).
The dying star - thought to have just hours to live - was forced to cancel a planned early Mother's Day celebration because she was so heavily sedated and she spent much of sons Bobby, five, and four-year-old Freddie's visit sleeping.
When her youngest son presented her with a daffodil he had picked and asked "Why are you so sleepy?" the reality TV star replied: "Because the angels are calling mummy."
Jade and new husband Jack Tweed had hoped to hold a low-key celebration for friends and family, but the plans were scrapped due to concerns over Jade's condition.
Jade's spokesperson, Max Clifford, said: "The boys went to see her and she was aware of them for a brief moment or two. She saw them and she smiled.
"She has put her house in order and faced up to everything in an incredibly brave way. Now we're waiting for the inevitable. It could be at any time, we just don't know."
Jade, 27, was transported home to Upminster in Essex from the Royal Marsden Hospital in London last Wednesday (11.03.09), after begging doctors to let her spend her final days at her own house as her body succumbs to cancer.
Meanwhile, plans for Jade's funeral have emerged.
A procession of seven cars will take her body from her home to the churchyard of St. John the Baptist, Buckhurst Hill, Essex where giant screens will be placed to show the service to crowds expected to gather outside.
The former 'Big Brother' star has picked out an oak coffin and requested her favourite hymns to be sung at the service.
She has hired undertakers 'F A Albin and Sons' - who were featured in ITV1 documentary 'Don't Drop The Coffin' - and the company will place a memorial to her in their garden.
A friend said: "Jade has it all organised to ensure she leaves the world in style.
"She has been inundated with letters from fans since she was diagnosed and knows many people want to say goodbye to her."
Her spokesperson added: "She wants it to be a big celebration because it will be her final farewell. It will be a very Jade Goody event - exactly the way she wants it."
