Michael Jackson show dates confirmed
Dates for Michael Jackson's 'This Is It' July 10-show residency at the O2 arena in London have been confirmed, but organisers may announce further concerts to meet demand.
Michael Jackson's 'This Is It' UK comeback tour dates have been confirmed.
Michael will perform a 10-date residency at London's O2 arena, appearing every other day between July 8 and July 28.
Following the announcement of the 'This Is It' shows - which Michael has said will be his last ever in London - over 1.5 million people have registered to buy tickets from over 220 countries.
So far only 10 dates have been confirmed, but rumours suggest the 'Thriller' star is in discussions to play up to 50 shows at the venue.
The number of people registered for tickets in France alone - 200,000 - are nearly enough to fill the 23,000 capacity O2 arena for all 10 nights.
A source at Michael's website said: "We've had fans everywhere from Australia to Afghanistan applying for tickets, but the French have been especially keen. The tickets will be like gold dust."
Last week, the pre-sale website crashed in under an hour due to overwhelming demand after fans were invited to register for the chance to get tickets.
Michael is said to be performing every other night in order to ensure he gives his best performances possible.
Another source said: "With space between each show, everyone involved can give 100 per cent each night."
Announcing the shows last week, Michael said: "This is it. I just want to say these will be my final show performances in London.
"This will be it, this is it and when I say this is it I really mean this is it. I'll be performing the songs my fans want to hear. This is the final curtain call and I'll see you in July and I love you."
