Jade Goody calls off christening

Jade Goody has called off the christening of her sons because she is too ill to go to church.
Cancer stricken former 'Big Brother' star Jade wanted a church christening for herself and sons Bobby, five and Freddie, four, this Saturday (07.03.09). This now looks impossible as she is too weak to leave hospital as her cancer takes hold.
Jade's spokesperson, Max Clifford, said: "We are all praying for her. It really is all we can do. We are just taking things hour by hour. Jade really wants to be well enough to go home and be christened.
"If she starts to feel better, the christening can be arranged at very short notice. We're hoping for the best."
A church near Jade's Essex home had been booked for the christening, but last night Max said if the christening goes ahead it is more likely to be in the chapel of the Royal Marsden Hospital where she is presently being treated.
Jade was diagnosed with cervical cancer last August, which has since spread to her bowel, liver, groin and brain. She was heavily sedated yesterday (05.03.09) as she received visits from her husband Jack Tweed, 21, and mother Jackiey Budden, 50.
Jade underwent an emergency bowel operation earlier this week in order to relieve her pain, and is on strong painkillers which leave her heavily sedated. She has also previously had a hysterectomy and another operation to remove a golf ball sized tumour from her bowel.
A close friend told Britain's the Sun newspaper: "Jade genuinely wants to be baptised before she dies. She is still hopeful this can be done, but time is running out for her."
