Lisa Kudrow wants to star in a 'Friends' movie, but only if "everyone is onboard"
Lisa Kudrow wants to star in a 'Friends' movie.
The 45-year-old actress - who played kooky masseuse Phoebe in the hit US TV show, would be prepared to take the series onto the big screen - but only if everyone involved in the original programme was onboard.
She said: "I don't know how it would work out, because of the type of show 'Friends' is. But it would be fun if everyone wanted to do it, and by everyone, I don't just mean the cast, I mean the creators of the show as well. If there was a way to figure it out then it could happen."
If the proposed movie doesn't happen, Kudrow insists she won't be heartbroken, because of the success of the original series.
She added to Britain's Independent newspaper: "One of the best things about being an actor on a hit series is that it affords you the luxury of being able to wait for the right thing to come along without worrying about paying the mortgage. I'm very lucky."
Last year, Kudrow's former co-star Courteney Cox was reported to be desperate to star in a 'Friends' movie.
A source said at the time: "Courteney has already spoken to a lot of the old gang and most of them are eager to do it. Courteney has seen the success of the 'Sex and the City' movie and is sure a 'Friends' movie would be even bigger."
'Friends' ran for 10 series before ending in 2004. The show made worldwide stars of the main cast - Kudrow, Cox, Jennifer Aniston, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer.
