John Cleese will never trust his ex-girlfriend, American comedienne Barbie Orr, ever again
John Cleese will never trust his ex-girlfriend again.
The 69-year-old British comic star dumped American comedienne Barbie Orr - who claimed to be 27 but is 45 - last week after she mocked his ageing body, and he now he doesn't want anything more to do with her.
He said: "When you realise someone has treated you like that, you can never trust them again. In the 43 years that I've been well-known in England, this is the first 'kiss and fib' story I've had.
"I never thought she was 27 - she told me she was 35. The point is, if you're unattached and you meet a nice girl who's unattached, I don't think there's anything wrong with having a relationship. But I'm not in one with her."
Orr publicly mocked Cleese's physique in an interview, discussing his fake teeth and hair plugs and claimed he must have had cosmetic surgery, saying: "For an old guy, you know, they're normally saggy down there, but he really has the package of a 19-year-old. His whole area down there is actually really nice… it's much younger than him!"
She also ridiculed the sizeable age between them, joking: "For his birthday, I was thinking about buying him a Zimmer frame."
Cleese admits he has had work done but not to impress Orr.
He explained in an interview with Hello! Magazine: "All that was nonsense. When you get to my age, you do running repairs. I had my fourth hair transplant as it means I don't have to wear wigs in a movie - I hate wigs! It only takes four hours.
"My teeth were terrible - I had a remodelling of my mouth about two years ago. I can't tell you how many teeth I'd cracked and had to have replaced - it all works really well now. But all of this I had done before I even met her."
Cleese is currently thrashing out a multi-million pound divorce settlement with third wife, US psychotherapist Alyce Faye Eichelberger. He is planning on making a film about the split.
He revealed: "It's getting there. My friend, actress Lisa Hogan, has also been through that situation and we're talking about making a film on the subject. We already have a title - it'll be called 'May Divorce Be With You' "
