Matchmaker Ellen DeGeneres
Ellen DeGeneres has offered to play matchmaker for 'Bride Wars' actress Anne Hathaway
Ellen DeGeneres has offered to play matchmaker for Anne Hathaway.
Anne, 26 - whose ex-boyfriend Raffaello Follieri is currently serving a jail sentence for fraud - refused to speak about her rumoured new boyfriend American actor Adam Shulman during an appearance on the 'Ellen DeGeneres Show', prompting the host to offer to find her a new love interest.
Ellen said: "If you need someone, I will find you a boyfriend. I'm really good at it."
A clearly uncomfortable Anne replied: "Did you see how nervous I just got?"
Trying to put her at ease, Ellen - who is married to actress Portia de Rossi - said: "You don't even have to date. You can go straight to commitment."
Despite her reluctance to discuss her private life, Anne had no problem discussing her ill-fated romance with Raffaello during the show.
Asked what her dream man would be like, Anne laughed: "At this point I would just like him to be law abiding. 2008 was the year I learned to have a sense of humour about everything."
Despite joking about the experience now, Anne admits it was one of the hardest things she has ever gone through.
She revealed when she split from Raffaello she was adamant not to let the paparazzi get a picture of her in tears.
Anne said: "So I went to a friend's house. It was the first moment I could let go, and I remember sinking onto her living room floor. She came and gave me the biggest hug, and my brother was there and everyone was just surrounding me giving me so much love."
