scoops Best Online Presence award at PPA Scotland Awards

Best Online Presence was announced as winner of the Best Online Presence award at last night's PPA Scotland Awards.

The ceremony, which took place at the Radisson Hotel Glasgow, was attended by over 400 people from within the publishing industry in Scotland and was compered by Scottish comedian Craig Hill. The awards are hosted by the Periodical Publishers Association and are now in their fifth year.

The winner of Scottish Magazine of the Year award was Clash Magazine. The Dundee-based title has undergone a redesign and moved from being bi-monthly to monthly. Clash Magazine were also amongst the nominees in the Best Online Presence award for their recently relaunched website site

PPA relaunched in July 2007 and now has over 375,000 unique users a month. In addition to searchable articles and listings, the site features daily news updates, email newsletters and further content.

The List was also well-represented in several other categories, with further nominations including Consumer Magazine of the Year, Best Magazine Design: Consumer, and two nominations in the Feature Writer of the Year category for Kirstin Innes and Doug Johnstone.
