Gary Barlow's Robbie duet

Gary Barlow wants to write a song with his former Take That bandmate Robbie Williams

Gary Barlow wants to write a song with Robbie Williams.

The singer - who met Robbie during a recent trip to Los Angeles - is confident a collaboration with his former Take That bandmate will happen soon.

Gary is also keen to get Guy Chambers, who wrote Robbie's hit 'Angels', involved in the project.

He said: "Robbie is fine and not jetting off on a flying saucer like you may have read! He is definitely enjoying life at the minute, I am very happy to say.

"We are all friends and if the show goes to a second series, we may even have a new song on the show from Barlow, Chambers and Williams!"

Gary's bandmate Mark Owen recently revealed he would love Robbie to reunite with the group on their upcoming tour next summer.

He said: "It would be b****y brilliant if he came back some day. There's nothing missing without him in a musical sense, but still it would be so great. I think we'd all have Robbie back tomorrow if he wanted it and the time felt right."
