Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer are making a rare visit north of the border for the next series of Channel 4’s Location Location Location. The straight-talking property gurus will be in Glasgow at the end of February and are keen to hear from anyone selling two bedroom flats and three and four bedroom houses in the city. The pair will be casting their net as wide as Kilmacombe, Milngavie, Bearsden and Bridge of Weir, so if you think your house fits the bill, please contact Amber, Lisa or Sam on 0141 353 8410.

The List has been banging on about this poignant, lyrical masterpiece since its release a few months ago, and now The Death of Mr Lazarescu has deservedly scooped this year’s BBC World Cinema Award. Romanian director Cristi Puiu’s darkly human comedy follows the increasingly desperate attempts of a seriously ill man to get medical treatment in the face of overwhelming inefficiency and bureaucracy over the course of one night. The film beat off stiff competition from the likes of Michael Haneke’s sublime Hidden and Almodovar’s Volver.
