Rachel Weisz has revealed she didn't even read the script for 'The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor'
Rachel Weisz didn't even read the script for 'The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor'.
The 38-year-old actress - who appeared as Evelyn Carnahan in the first two films in the franchise - had no intention of even considering starring in the last part in the trilogy.
Rachel, who has a two-year-old son Henry Chance with husband Darren Aronofsky, said: "In fact, I never even read the script because it was going to be, I think, five months in China, and it was just out of the question that I could do it straight after shooting my new film 'The Brothers Bloom'."
Rachel also said she is very keen on portraying strong female characters in movies.
She added to America's Vogue magazine: "I'm definitely interested in characters who believe in something so strongly they're ready to put their lives on the line in some way - people who are braver, bolder, more complex than me."
