Former 'Strictly Come Dancing' stars James and Ola Jordan have disagreed with the panel's decision to eliminate Nina from the show following Saturday's performance
James and Ola Jordan would have saved Nina Wadia from 'Strictly Come Dancing' elimination.
The professional dancers – who guided celebrities on the show between 2006 and 2013 – admitted they would have agreed with judge Anton Du Beke, 55, who wanted to save the former 'EastEnders' actress Nina from the boot.
James explained: "In the dance off, I agreed with Anton, I would have saved Nina and Neil."
The 52-year-old soap star and her professional partner Neil Jones had failed to impress when they danced the Tango to 'Would I Lie to You?' by the Eurythmics, scoring 18 out of 40.
Ola insisted the pair had a difficult job performing the Tango on Saturday's (02.10.21) live show.
She said: "It's very difficult to compare a Tango with a jive and I'm not saying they shouldn't have been in the bottom two, but in the dance-off I would have saved them. It's hard isn't it?"
Katie McGlynn and her partner Gorka Marquez danced to Olivia Rodrigo hit 'Good 4 U', but they scored 21 and found themselves in the bottom two, ultimately being saved by the panel.
Ola said: "I think Katie had a bad dance, but maybe she'll improve!"
James, 43, also opened up further about the time he spent on the show and believes that if Nina and Neil had danced something like like the Samba they wouldn't have been sent home.
Speaking in a joint interview with HELLO!'s Strictly Insider, he said: "Because we did the show for so long, we know what the public are looking for. And when you hear a great track, I know it sounds stupid but sometimes people will pick up the phone because they liked that piece of music. If they had done their Samba this week, no way would they have gone home."
'Dragon's Den' star and millionaire businesswoman Sara Davies, 37, sailed through to the next round of the show when she and partner Aljaž Škorjanec danced the Foxtrot to 'Dream a Little Dream of Me', scoring a highly impressive 34 out of 40.
