Echo & The Bunnymen to reissue first four albums on vinyl this October

The band will also embark on a UK-wide tour next year to celebrate their four-decade career

Mercurial rock royalty Echo & The Bunnymen will reissue their first four seminal LPs on vinyl on Friday 22 October.

The albums Crocodiles(1980), Heaven Up Here (1981), Porcupine (1983) and Ocean Rain (1984) mark the most prolific point in the band's career, and cemented their status as the foremost purveyors of the post-punk goth-tinged rock that typified the era.

Featuring hit singles 'The Cutter', 'Bring On The Dancing Horses', 'Lips Like Sugar' and the unforgettable 'The Killing Moon', the four albums be available on 180g black vinyl from all music retailers, as well as limited edition coloured vinyl from participating stores. The Crocodiles vinyl will be yellow, Heaven Up Here blue, Porcupine white, and Ocean Rain will be transparent blue.

In part to celebrate the release of these reissues, the band will also embark on an extensive tour of the UK and Ireland in February and March 2022. They'll celebrate four decades of music across 20 dates. Tickets for these shows are on sale now.

Famed for their intricate lyrics and unique sound, Echo & The Bunnymen have become one of the defining bands of the 1980s. Nicky Wire of the Manic Streets Preachers recently said, 'Echo & the Bunnymen were the full package. They had amazing songs and lyrics that provoked and inspired; stunning wit and a look that was just perfection.'
