The best comedy
Comedy Academy 4 Kids Got a nipper at home who is just a little bit too quick off the mark for their own good? Send them to school on a Saturday as punishment. The workshop run by James Campbell might even do them some good. The Bongo Club, Edinburgh, Sat 17 Feb.
The Amazing Bastards! Messrs Dick, Miller and Teddy bring us some mad old sketches, crazy characters and a little bit of stand-up. And for barely any money at all. The Stand, Glasgow, Mon 19 Feb; The Stand, Edinburgh, Tue 20 Feb.
Andy Zaltzman The curly-mopped comic with an eye for the topical brings his killer instincts to the surface for one night only. Or at least until he shows up at the Glasgow Comedy Festival. The Pleasance, Edinburgh, Tue 27 Feb.
Boothby Graffoe (pictured) A comic named after a Lincolnshire hamlet? It doesn’t get any funnier than that, does it? Actually, Boothby does. With a musical twist, no less. The Stand, Edinburgh, Tue 27 Feb.
Bruce Morton The godfaither of Scottish comedy heads up a Best of Scottish list as he looks over his shoulder at the wisecracking weans chomping at his tail. The Stand, Edinburgh, Wed 28 Feb.
