Roman Kemp once auditioned for 'Strictly Come Dancing' but thought it was "too much effort".
The 28-year-old radio host found the try out "so hard", and as a result he didn't fancy pursuing the chance to take to the BBC Latin and ballroom show's famous dancefloor.
Appearing on 'The Jonathan Ross Show', he said: "I would like to do it, they did ask me. I ended up going, it's like an audition … if I'm totally honest, I had a great time, but it's too much effort. It's so hard. It's so hard."
His dad Martin Kemp then told 'Strictly' pro Oti Mabuse that Roman would sign up instantly if he was partnered up with the 30-year-old dancer.
He said: "Roman said he'd only do it if you were his partner [Oti]."
Roman added: "100 per cent. I'd only do it if they were like, 'You can be with Oti.' "
But when Oti suggested he should try out again for the show, Roman backtracked: "Don't get ahead of yourself Oti..."
Martin, 59, is also keen to quickstep his way into the next series of the competition but thinks he would be the first star to be voted out.
He said: "I think it's one of the best shows on television, I absolutely love it. Would I do it? Maybe, but I'd only last one round. My knees are so bad. I'm sure I'd be out first round."
It has been reported that fans will be allowed back when the BBC Latin and ballroom competition returns, after last year's series was filmed without an audience due to coronavirus restrictions.
A source recently said: "The rough plans for the series are starting to come together, and that includes getting the show’s most important ingredient back in – the audience.
"Producers hope that by the last week of September, when the first live show is pencilled in, COVID restrictions will have been lifted and they’ll be able to get as many fans into Elstree as possible.
"There might be some social distancing, but it will give the show a lift, having had just cast and crew present in 2020."
