'EastEnders' stars Shona McGarty and Davood Ghadami bubbled up together to get around social distancing regulations to enable their characters Whitney Dean and Kush Kazemi to kiss
Shona McGarty and Davood Ghadami formed a bubble together to enable them to shoot a steamy smooch in 'EastEnders'.
The soap stars' characters Whitney Dean and Kush Kazemi recently got engaged ahead of the hunk's trial and likely prison sentence, and a new trailer has revealed the pair engaging in a saucy snog.
The kiss sparked COVID concerns from some fans due to a lack of social distancing, but was also met with delight from viewers.
One wrote: "OMG THE TRAILER SHOWED A REAL KISS BETWEEN KUSH AND WHITNEY!!!!! (sic)"
Another posted: "Kush and Whitney kissed so does that mean they are able to relax distancing by doing bubbling and testing now so the wedding can be non SD (sic)"
One tweeted: "Great to see EE relaxing measures again for the Kush/Whitney kiss! (sic)"
However, an 'EastEnders' spokesperson has confirmed to Mirror Online that Shona and Davood formed a bubble for the smooch.
Shona admitted this week there is a "big" exit ahead for Kush, and said it was a "sad day" shooting her co-star's exit.
She said: "It was a strange day. We are very close and he's been on the Square for a long time so we're all really good friends.
"It was a sad day but very exciting to film, I know that he was very excited.
"It's big stuff, it's such big stuff that we felt like we were doing a film. It was a really exciting day."
Last month, Davood admitted he had a "bittersweet" 'EastEnders' departure.
He wrote: "Not going to lie today was bittersweet. I had to say goodbye to some of THE best people I could ever wish to know. Not being able to do the usual hugs was tough, though probably for the best as I might not have let go. Im a very lucky lad. Thanks to the ones who made the 6 and a half years so special. You know who you are. The pic might even hint subtly at who one of them is... thanks for the ride (sic)"
