'Emmerdale' actor Bradley Johnson hopes Vinny and Liv can get back together and live "happily ever after"
Bradley Johnson hopes Vinny Dingle and Liv Flaherty will have their "happily ever after".
The 'Emmerdale' actor – whose character needs to do "a lot of healing" after Paul Ashdale's (Reece Dinsdale) death – admitted Vinny has to "accept what's happened" and embrace the support network he has around him.
Asked whether or not Vinny and Liv (Isobel Steele) can get back together after her role in Paul's death, he told Inside Soap magazine: "Who knows? Vinny still has a lot of healing to do.
"It might take some time for him to get back to his normal, bubbly self, although hopefully he rekindles things with Liv, and there's a happily ever after in there somewhere.
"There's a part of Vinny that just needs to accept what's happened. He needs to realise that he's the victim, and he's not to blame, so that he can move on with the next chapter of his life.
"He has a fantastic family in the Dingles, and lots of people who love him. Vinny has all the support he needs, so hopefully he'll get there."
Paul died in an explosion on his wedding day, and then the abuse of his son Vinny has come to light.
However, Bradley admitted his character is "in denial" and wants to give his father a send-off.
He added: "Vinny's a broken man – he's in denial.
"He doesn't want to listen to what his mum or anyone else has to say, he just wants to grieve for his dad in his own way.
"He wants to forget all the terrible things that his dad has done and see him in some sort of good light, because at the end of the day, his dad was blood."
