James Jordan has revealed that his father Allan - who was diagnosed with a brain tumour last year - has passed away
James Jordan's father has died.
The former 'Strictly Come Dancing' star took to Twitter to announce that his beloved dad Allan passed away on Saturday (13.03.21) morning after a battle with a brain tumour.
He wrote: "My dad became an angel at 8:05am. I will forever miss him. He will always be my hero. RIP Daddy."
The sad news came just one day after James revealed his father was close to death.
He tweeted: "No one should have to go through what my family are watching my dad go through.
"I pray to God that you come soon and make him one of your angels.
"He has his bags packed and is ready to go and see his mum and dad again. My dad is my hero. @BrainTumourOrg needs your support"
James, 42 – who has daughter Ella with his wife Ola Jordan – previously revealed he was "totally broken" after finding out his dad has an aggressive cancerous tumour.
He wrote on Instagram: "This video is the most precious and personal thing I have in my life right now and I'm going to share it with you but with a totally broken heart ... Over the last 4 months my hero and best mate in the whole world has been in and out of hospital with very ill health. We were told several times that 100 per cent he had had a stroke and that's why they were struggling to control his seizures... but after the third time of being admitted to hospital I knew something was not quite right ... It was what I had dreaded, my dad has a tumour and after having a biopsy it's come back that it's an aggressive cancerous one. The worst kind unfortunately. We have been told that it's not advisable to operate because of where the tumour is and wouldn't actually make that much difference even if they could. The end result is, it's terminal."
And James admitted it was the "worst time" of his life, and asked fans to help him find someone to give a second opinion.
In the lengthy post, he added: "As I write this tears are streaming down my face as I'm sure many of you have the same love for your parents. This is honestly the worst time of my life. I'm posting this and writing to you now as I want to get a second opinion on my father, especially because they misdiagnosed him for the first 4 months which doesn't fill us with confidence. So now myself and my family are actually hoping they are wrong this time. I'm looking to find the best surgeon to see my father as I want to know I've done everything possible before I can accept it. My heart is broken ... Please DM me if you can help (sic)"
