Former 'Corrie' star Kimberly Hart- Simpson would give up her "left t**" to return to the cobbles
Kimberly Hart-Simpson would "give [her] left t**" for a 'Coronation Street' return.
The 33-year-old actress – who played sex worker Nicky Wheatley for four months on the cobbles until her exit in September 2020 – admitted the pandemic played a part in her departure and she would love to head back to the ITV soap for another stint.
Appearing on Fubar Radio's 'Access All Areas', she said: "I'd give me left t** to go back, quite frankly.
"It's COVID. And obviously there are things I am aware of, but I can’t talk about them. Because that’s, you know, confidentiality. But the door has completely remained open."
Kimberly's character was last seen leaving for a new life away from Weatherfield after Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) gave her money to help her ditch her job as a sex worker.
The 'Celebs Go Dating' star has plenty of soap experience, having previously enjoyed two different roles on 'Hollyoaks'.
Now, she's revealed she would love to go back to the Channel 4 show, or even make the jump to ITV's 'Emmerdale'.
She added: "I think both soaps, 'Hollyoaks' and 'Corrie'. Because I did start at 'Hollyoaks' and then, the day my episode aired was the day I went for 'Corrie'.
"I’d go to 'Emmerdale' as well. I’m not bothered. There’s nothing against 'Emmerdale.' "
However, Kimberly – who has revealed in the past that her late dad dreamed of her stepping onto the cobbles – spent 10 years trying to land a role on 'Corrie', and she admitted the show will always have a special meaning for her.
She explained: "My heart will forever and utterly be 'Coronation Street'. Just because that’s what I grew up on. It’s just in my blood."
