Former 'Coronation Street' actress Kym Marsh is going through a "slow recovery" following her hernia operation, and she has to do "the sensible thing" and not return to work "too quickly"
Kym Marsh is still going through a "slow recovery" following her hernia operation.
The former 'Coronation Street' actress went under the knife on January 23rd, and after attending some follow-up appointments she has been told not to return to work "too quickly" because she may end up "in a bad way".
She said: "I'm still going through a slow recovery from my hernia operation and I've had follow-up appointments.
"I've just got to do the sensible thing, listen to my body and not return to work too quickly and end up in a bad way."
The ex-cobbles star – who played Michelle Connor on the ITV soap – admitted her recovery is a "work in progress".
Writing in her OK! magazine column, she added: "I'm taking my time and healing, so it's a work in progress."
Last week, the 44-year-old star admitted she was "still not right" after her hernia op, and had booked an appointment to "double check everything is OK".
She said: "I'm still not right after my hernia operation and I'm finding it very difficult to move around.
"I've got an appointment with my consultant to double check everything is OK, but could just be I'm taking a bit longer to heal as everyone is different.
"The actress is also suffering with "super dry" skin.
She said: "My skin is super dry and my hair is super static, which I'm told is down to it also being dry.
"So if anyone has any top tips on how to deal with that, let me know.
"I haven't had lots of time to myself with homeschooling and sorting the house out, but I have been taking comfort in candles.
"Putting them on or making the room smell nice with diffusers has made me feel so much better.
"I'm a sucker for a candle – my house looks a bit like a church sometimes!"
