Tickets for two new shows at The SSE Hydro are available now
Queen & Adam Lambert have once again had to reschedule their hugely anticipated Rhapsody world tour due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The tour, which was originally due to land in the UK in June 2020, will now go ahead in the summer of 2022 with two new Glasgow shows added to the roster. Tickets for new dates at The SSE Hydro, Glasgow are available now. Previously purchased tickets will be valid for the rescheduled dates and ticket holders should check the point of purchase for full details.
Speaking of the new dates, Queen and Adam Lambert issued the following message: 'Under continuing Europe-wide COVID restrictions there's no possible way the tour can go ahead as planned for this year. The prospect of again not being able to look forward to performing and getting to experience those wonderful audiences is just heartbreaking.'
Brian May added, 'Those incredible scenes at those concerts now seem like an impossibly distant dream. One minute we are out in Australia strutting our stuff and interacting with thousands of happy people, next minute we are stuck in the house. We were so lucky to be able to complete that tour, running just ahead of the wave that was about to break on us.'
To ease their loyal fans' disappointment, Brian, Roger and Adam have announced a new and expanded set of 2022 dates for the UK and Europe Rhapsody shows, when they hope it will finally be safe to perform for large audiences.
The Rhapsody concert has been described as 'a marvel of technology' and features ambitious staging, lighting and visuals. Band members Brian May, Roger Taylor, Spike Edney, Neil Fairclough and Tyler Warren are joined by Adam Lambert, who leads the performance.
