'Corrie' favourite Kym Marsh insists there is "no doubt" she'll be back on the cobbles one day
Kym Marsh has "no doubt" she'll return to 'Coronation Street' one day.
The 44-year-old actress – who played Michelle Connor on the ITV show from 2006 to 2019 – has confirmed she misses being on the cobbles, and she's sure she'll be back in the future.
Speaking to Entertainment Daily, she said: "I really do miss everyone, I really miss the street.
"When I left I always said I’d come back one day and I will. I just needed to get out and take a little breather and do some other things.
"I have no doubt that one day I’ll go back there and dip my toe back in."
Kym has kept busy, but she admitted the pandemic stalled a lot of her plans for 2020 when the entertainment industry was heavily impacted by the coronavirus.
She explained: "I have been really busy and I’ve been so fortunate, but obviously the year I left was really weird.
"I left in October 2019 and went straight into doing loads of other bits and bobs and I had loads of stuff planned for the year after that obviously all fell through. I thought, oh no, what a year to leave!”
She recently revealed her parents – who are both shielding after the UK was plunged into a third lockdown – feeling "very low" during the global health crisis.
She said: "We're back in lockdown and, to be honest, after so many of us entered Tier Four before Christmas, I suspected it might be coming.
"But even so, no one could have foreseen that a new strain would develop and the confusion it's caused.
"My parents have been very low and fed up as they've now had to go back into shielding.
"Dad is terrified – he's just waiting for his vaccine as he's on the vulnerable list."
