Bill Bailey will make his live TV presenting debut on 'Steph's Packed Lunch' on Friday (15.01.21) – as regular host Steph McGovern is isolating.
The 'Strictly Come Dancing' champion will host the Channel 4 show live from Leeds at 12.30pm tomorrow, during which he will chat to Bez from Happy Mondays about his new online workout videos.
Bill said: "I am delighted to be making my live TV debut with this show.
"It’ll be a little nerve-wracking, go by in a bit of a whirl, but a lot of fun … a bit like dancing, I imagine."
Former 'Strictly' pro AJ Pritchard and his brother, 'Love Island' star Curtis Pritchard, will also be in the studio to speak about their upcoming tour, Russell Kane will read the 'One O'clock Views', and Miquita Oliver and Alan Johnson will discuss the day's big talking points.
Further details about Steph's isolation have not been revealed.
Channel 4 said: "Steph McGovern is isolating in line with Government guidance."
Bill's latest TV gig comes after he triumphed on 'Strictly' late last year alongside his pro partner Oti Mabuse.
Afterwards, the 55-year-old comedian admitted knowing he couldn't see his dad at Christmas, due to coronavirus pandemic restrictions, inspired him in the 'Strictly Come Dancing' final.
He said: "We heard during the day about the new restrictions, and about the fact that my dad, who's been on his own isolating since March – we were looking forward to seeing him at Christmas.
"We thought, 'Oh no, we can't do that now, he's gonna be on his own'. There was a lot of that going on as well, and it almost made me want to give even more in the performance, in a way."
