Sally Dexter has returned to 'Emmerdale'.
The 60-year-old actress has reprised her role as Faith Dingle – who she first played in February 2017 – on the ITV soap and she will be back on screen next month.
She said: "It’s wonderful to be back in 'Emmerdale' again.
"From the first day I felt like I was getting a big warm family hug from everyone, it’s a really special show."
Faith was last seen departing the village in the back of a taxi after she admitted to son Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) that she had driven his son Nate Robinson's (Jurell Carter) mother away when she was pregnant with him.
Upon her return, viewers will see Faith dressed as an undertaker as she is attempting to steal a hearse, when Moira Dingle (Natalie J. Robb) spots her.
'Emmerdale' Producer Sophie Roper said: "I’m delighted to see the return of much-loved character Faith Dingle to the village.
"A character bursting with fun, Faith’s certainly set to ruffle a few feathers and will test the Dingle’s loyalties like never before.
"We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome Sally back to Emmerdale, an actor exuding vibrant charm."
Sally revealed in October 2019 she was to depart 'Emmerdale', and she set her sights on landing a part in 'Line of Duty'.
Speaking at the time, she exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I'm taking a bit of a break from 'Emmerdale', because of the explosive storyline that's happening between Cain and Moira, and of course Faith and Nate."
When asked if she wanted to take a break, she said: "Yes, I just want to see what's around.
"I love 'Emmerdale' and the team, I love my Dingle family very much.
"'Line of Duty' would be great. Stuff like that I would love to do. That would be absolutely fabulous.
"Filming of all sorts I really, really love."
