Denise Van Outen is going to ask Joe Swash for tips on how to win 'Dancing on Ice'.

The 46-year-old actress is going to speak to reigning champion Joe for his advice on how she can be victorious on the ITV skating competition after he and his pro Alex Murphy beat hot favourite Perri Kiely and his partner Libby Clegg to take home the trophy in 2020.

When asked whether she knew anyone who had participated in the past, Denise said: "Yes! Reigning champion Joe Swash so I will be hitting up Swashy for some tips."

Denise already has a game plan set in motion for the new series after she put in extra time to finish as a runner up in the tenth series of 'Strictly Come Dancing'.

She explained: "Even when I did Strictly I did extra hours. It takes me longer to learn things and retain information so I have to do it like that. I have to do things over and over."

However, Denise – who has 10-year-old Betsy with ex-husband Lee Mead – admitted that she had a fear of the ice as she would make other people take her daughter ice skating.

She said: "I actually would like to be able to go with her. I don't want to be that mum who can't do something or can't give it a try."

Meanwhile, Denise hopes to resurrect 'The Big Breakfast' – which she hosted with Johnny Vaughn – and has already spoken to Chis Evans – another of the programme's former presenters – about reviving the Channel 4 show.

She revealed: "None of the originals have been asked to go back. I saw Chris Evans the other day and we were having a chat about how cool it would be." Denise is also open to making another sitcom, having starred in 'Babes in the Wood' in the late 90s.

She said: "I had such a laugh doing 'Babes In The Wood'. I’d love to do another sitcom."
