'EastEnders' has dropped an 'Iconic Episodes' box set on the BBC iPlayer, which consists of nine classic eps from over the years

'EastEnders' has released a box set of iconic episodes on BBC iPlayer.

Fans of the soap can take a trip down memory lane after the BBC dropped nine past episodes on its streaming service in a box set, 'EastEnders: Iconic Episodes', including the dramatic episode which saw Max Branning (Jake Wood) and Stacey Slater's (Lacey Turner) affair revealed on Christmas Day 2007.

Dan McGolpin, controller of BBC iPlayer, said: "With so many people watching 'EastEnders' on BBC iPlayer over the festive and new year period, fans can now enjoy more of Walford Square’s best ever moments.

"Whether you’re a new fan, or you can remember Den and Angie running The Queen Vic, BBC iPlayer has some cracking episodes of 'EastEnders' ready for you to binge on."

Others include the iconic 'Who Killed Lucy Beale?' 30th anniversary ep, in which Bobby Beale was revealed as his sister Lucy's (Hetti Bywater) killer.

What's more, the classic two-hander between 'Dirty' Den and Angie Watts – who were played by Lesley Grantham and Anita Dobson – when he demanded a divorce is also available to watch.

The late Dame Barbara Windsor – who passed away on December 10 aged 83 following a six-year battle with Alzheimer's – stars in 'Pat & Peggy', in which her character Peggy Mitchell goes up against Pat Evans (Pam St Clement) over the latter's affair with Frank Butcher (Mike Reid).

And the infidelity also features in aptly-titled episode 'Pat & Frank's Affair'.

The nine episodes are available to watch on the BBC iPlayer now.

What's more, there are 115 episodes available in an 'EastEnders 2008' box set for fans who want to hark back 13 years to a time when Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) arrived in Walford, and the knives were out for Max.
