Radio presenter Clara Amfo is poised to host 'Out Of The Woods'
Clara Amfo is set to host 'Out Of The Woods' alongside David Potts.
The 36-year-old presenter – who recently starred on 'Strictly Come Dancing' – is looking forward to hosting the new ITV show, which is a spin-off of the dating series 'The Cabins'.
Clara told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: "Human connection will never not be fascinating to me and millions of others. As a nation, we’re obsessed with seeing how people fall in and out of love, and everything in between.
"With the hilarious David by my side, I can’t wait to catch up with our cabin crew to delve deeper into what went down inside those beautifully furnished walls."
David is similarly excited about the show.
He said: "To be doing something different like co-presenting is amazing."
Meanwhile, Clara previously admitted to relishing her time on 'Strictly' – even though she didn't win the Glitterball Trophy.
The presenter was also glad to have something to focus her attention on amid the coronavirus pandemic.
She shared: "Ultimately I had a wicked experience: I got to play dress up: when you’re watching at home as a viewer, or if you’re one of us on the contestant side, we got to be distracted from the randomness of this year and everything it’s entailed."
Asked about being voted off the show around the half-away stage, Clara replied: "Sometimes it’s better to be a cult classic than a best seller, do you know what I mean?"
Clara also admitted she's not always as happy as some people assume.
She said: "Don’t get me wrong, I am a genuinely happy person, but that doesn’t mean I’m devoid of having sad days.
"Of course I have down days. Over the years I’ve learned to develop tools that sort of keep me in a happier place than what I’m naturally inclined to when I do get down."
