David Walliams dreams of writing a James Bond film.
The 49-year-old comedy star has revealed he one day hopes to follow in the footsteps of Phoebe Waller-Bridge by helping to write a Bond movie.
The best-selling children’s author said: "I’d love to write a James Bond movie, maybe one day.
"I’m a Bond fan. That doesn’t necessarily mean I’m the best person to do it, but, certainly, that would be my dream job – writing the screenplay for a Bond movie.
"Just to sit down, day one, and go, ‘Right, what is his next adventure?’ That would be very exciting. I haven’t been asked but, if I say it, then maybe it’ll come true."
Phoebe, 35, has added her unique style to the new Bond movie, and David would love to be given the same opportunity.
The 'Britain's Got Talent' star suggested he's keen to take the money-spinning film franchise in a new direction, saying he wants to "do something that’s never been done before".
David – who has son Alfred, seven, with his ex-wife Lara Stone – told The Sun newspaper's Bizarre TV column: "I would like to do something that people don’t expect.
"The thing about Bond is, obviously there’s lot of tropes. But I would love to do something that’s never been done before.
"That would be really exciting, because the movies that stand out for me are the ones where you often would see something he’s not done before – like when he gets married in On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, or when he falls in love in Casino Royale, those kind of things."
