Housemates rent rooms
The 'Big Brother' housemates must pay rent on the bedrooms. Head of House Rex was given the news when he went to complete the shopping budget, and found the twist hilarious until it was properly explained to him.
Big Brother said: "Due to the credit crunch, Big Brother is now charging rent on the bedrooms."
As Rex laughed, it was explained the rent would be £150 for the luxury bedroom and £15 for the basic one.
However, if Rex opted for the basic bedroom no luxuries - including hair straighteners and hair dryers - would be allowed.
Clearly thinking of his girlfriend Nicole - who is facing eviction on Friday and has told him she wants to look her best if she leaves -Rex chose the luxury bedroom, meaning he had much less to spend on food.
When he left the Diary Room, Rex explained the situation to the other housemates although he was not allowed to tell them which room he had rented.
After hearing the rent prices, Rachel exclaimed: "Let's go back into B Block then."
Mikey added: "B Block."
Sara added she didn't care if the group were not allowed hair straighteners.
As Mikey began to question Rex' decision, a furious Nicole told him to be quiet.
She added: "I'm not going out tomorrow looking like this."
Later, Mikey sparked an argument between Nicole and Rex when he let slip that Rex had slept in a bed with former housemate Stephanie, news which left Nicole furious.
After she stormed off, Rex followed and let slip which bedroom choice he had made, saying: "£150 so you can have hair straighteners."
Nicole fumed: "I'm just saying, if that was you, you'd be going mad. If you knew what I knew, you'd understand."
