Little Mix singer Jade Thirlwall is said to be wanted by ITV to be a judge for the channel's 'Stars in Their Eyes' reboot, 'Starstruck'
Jade Thirlwall is wanted as the third judge on ITV's 'Stars in Their Eyes' reboot.
The channel are said to be prepared to fork out "good money" for the Little Mix singer's services on 'Starstruck', after they were impressed with the star – who would join Sheridan Smith and Adam Lambert on the panel – on 'RuPaul's Drag Race UK' and the band's BBC show 'The Search'.
An insider said: "Jade has been earmarked as the perfect third judge for 'Starstruck', and ITV has her in its sights.
"After seeing her on 'Drag Race UK', and then as a coach on the band’s own show, 'The Search', the bosses think she is made for the role and they now want to make her one of ITV’s stars.
"Jade is funny, witty and is a seriously talented musician.
"So it’s not hard to see why they are so keen to get her to move away from the Beeb."
ITV are said to be so keen to sign up Jade they are even considering moving the dates to make it work, as her touring schedule with Little Mix next year may clash with the show's filming timetable.
The insider added to The Sun newspaper's Bizarre TV column: "It is so keen that there have even been discussions at ITV about shifting the dates to see if that could persuade her to come on board.
"Jade is its number one target right now and those behind 'Starstruck' would love to be able to seal the deal."
Last week, Adam was said to have agreed to join the show as a judge, just weeks after Sheridan signed up.
The programme will see celebrities take to the stage to perform one of their favourite singer's hits.
'Stars in Their Eyes' initially ran from 1990 to 2006, and was then revived by host Harry Hill for a six-part stint in 2015.
