Ryan Thomas has been bonding with his late father's horses.
The 36-year-old actor has taken to Instagram to reveal he plans to make the three horses his "life" following the death of his dad Dougie James in November.
Alongside images of the horses, Ryan – who has Scarlett, 12, with Tina O'Brien and Roman, nine months, with Lucy Mecklenburgh – wrote: "Is it a coincidence or a symbol that my dad owned 3 horses & has 3 sons either way these horses were his life now I’m going to make them mine, this last few weeks I’ve spent time at the stables trying to build a bond with them & I know seeing his grandchild riding his horse would make him so proud.
"It’s been such along time since iv rode horses hence why I came off but before he passed I said to him I wanted to ride his horse down the beach, the moral of the story ' If you fall off the horse you get back on' never give up!! I will get to that beach one day promise Dad [heart emoji] (sic)"
Ryan recently admitted it's been a "tough time" since his dad's death.
The actor paid a heartfelt tribute to the late singer on Instagram.
He said on the photo-sharing platform: "You are the reason I’m proud to be a Thomas, since being a young child I’ve always been in awe of you, growing up watching you on the stage to people stopping me in the street saying "are you Dougie James’s son?" is something I love more than you will ever know. (sic)"
Ryan also thanked his brothers Scott and Adam for their support in recent weeks.
He wrote: "Dad you always said to me buying you a van was the best gift I ever gave you, I want you to know the best gift you ever gave me was my brothers I couldn’t of done this without you both love you boys @adamthomas21 @scott.thomas Shine bright wherever you are. We love you dad. (sic)"
