Two of 'Gogglebox's stars have revealed the Channel 4 show will return in February
'Gogglebox' is set to return in February.
The hit Channel 4 series is poised to return to TV screens in early 2021, according to 'Gogglebox's Jenny and Lee, who revealed the news via a Christmas-themed Instagram video.
Sending their well-wishes to their social media followers, they said: "We just wanted to wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
"And we'd like to thank you for supporting us and all the lovely comments you send us each week. We do read them and we do have a laugh reading some of them."
Lee then confirmed that the show will be returning early next year.
He said in the video message: "Anyway, we'll be back in February – bye!"
News of the new series emerged shortly after it was confirmed that 'Gogglebox' co-creator Tania Alexander has exited Studio Lambert, the production company behind the show.
The company confirmed that she was quitting in order to pursue other challenges.
A spokesperson said: "We wish Tania success with her future projects."
'Gogglebox' has been a huge success since its launch in 2013, winning numerous awards and spawning a number of spin-offs like 'Celebrity Gogglebox'.
And Tania previously revealed some of the secrets to the show's success, explaining the planning that's required to film the hit series.
Discussing the behind-the-scenes challenges of shooting 'Gogglebox', she said: "We rig a mini gallery, which is set up in a kitchen or bedroom.
"There's a small team in the field – a producer, a camera person, and a sound person and a logger – and those four people are squared in whatever room is available for the entire shoot. It's like a mini TV studio."
