'Strictly Come Dancing' judge Motsi Mabuse has defended her fellow show panellist Shirley Ballas, after she was attacked on social media

Motsi Mabuse has hit back at trolls who have targeted Shirley Ballas.

The 'Strictly Come Dancing' judge has shot to the defence of the Latin and ballroom show's head panellist after some hit out at her for sending home Ranvir Singh over the weekend, rather than Jamie Laing.

Motsi wrote on Instagram: "Attacking her is Attacking me !!! Everyone that is part of my community knows that we support, we love and we spread love !!! SUPPORT OTHER WOMEN. PERIOD.!! @shirleyballas ! #strictlykindness #tb (sic)"

Some 'Strictly' viewers were left fuming after it came down to Shirley to decide who should go last weekend out of Ranvir or Jamie, with a number of fans disappointed she chose the 'Good Morning Britain' co-host to be eliminated, after the 'Made in Chelsea' star ended up in the dance-off four times.

And some even called for Shirley to be sacked as a result of the decision.

One fumed on Twitter: "Total CRAP !!!!!! Shirley needs to be replaced !!!!! She gave Ranvir a 9 and Jamie an 8 , then goes on to pick Jamie- who s been in the DO four times !!!! Unfair !!!! U should be ashamed of urself !!!!!!!! (sic)"

Another posted: "Of course Ranvir and Giovanni should be finalists, absolute travesty Shirley and Craig, you've done this before Shirley, what were you thinking? We should replace her with Anton (sic)"

One tweeted: "WRONG DECISION Shirley !!!!! Shame on you !!!!! You praised Ranvir for her best frame and then kicked her out !!!!!!!!! (sic)"

Another shared: "Replace Shirley !!!!!! Wrong decision!!!!!!  Totally pathetic!!!Bring Ranvir back !!!!!!!!!!!!!! (sic)"

This comes after Motsi quit Twitter earlier this month.

She wrote on Twitter: "I’ve decided to leave Twitter!! It’s been fun but I truly think with Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.. it’s enough social media.

"Please keep up my #strictlykindess hashtag!! You know where to find me. (sic)"
