Amanda Holden is swapping ITV for the BBC in the upcoming singing competition 'I Can See Your Voice', alongside Jimmy Carr and Alison Hammond
Amanda Holden will join the ‘I Can See Your Voice’ panel.
The ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ judge, comedian Jimmy Carr, 'This Morning’ roving reporter Alison Hammond and a pop star, a different one each week, will appear on the judging panel for the upcoming BBC singing competition.
‘I Can See Your Voice’ – which will be fronted by Paddy McGuinness – sees two players try to guess who can or can’t sing from a group of songbirds.
But if the competitors guess incorrectly, the "bad" singer could win a cash prize by lip-syncing their way to the bottom two.
They will then go head-to-head with the celebrity guest to reveal whether they can really sing or not.
Amanda, 49, said: “I’ve seen first-hand over my many years as a judge, how acts can shock you with an incredible voice. With my experience on stage, television and radio I think I have one of the best pair of eyes in the business for spotting talent so the masqueraders will really have to up their game to fool me!”
Jimmy added: “I think a silly, crazy, fun hour of telly is just what we all need. And it doesn’t come any more silly, crazy or fun than this.”
The eight-part series has been adapted from a popular South Korean format, which has been remade in 10 countries including Australia and the US.
Alison added: “‘I Can See Your Voice’ is going to be great fun and I am thrilled to be taking part.
"I’m a good judge of character and reckon I’ll be able to spot who can sing or not straight away, so the players are in good hands if they hope to win that cash prize!"
The judges will help the two players by giving their verdict on who could be faking it and who is really singing.
