Piers Morgan is set to return to 'Good Morning Britain' on September 1 after taking a six-week break in France
Piers Morgan is set to return to 'Good Morning Britain' in September.
The 55-year-old presenter has spent the last few weeks in the south of France, but he recently returned home and has now confirmed when he'll be back in the studio.
After landing back in the UK, Piers took to Twitter to call for the resignation of Education Secretary Gavin Williamson amid the exams controversy.
He wrote: "Why haven't you resigned?"
In response, a fan said: "Piers we need you back to ask these questions. (sic)"
And Piers replied by announcing his return to 'Good Morning Britain'.
He tweeted: "I'll be back on Sep 1."
Meanwhile, Piers recently announced plans to release a new book about the "war on free speech".
The presenter revealed his upcoming book, 'Wake Up', will be released on October 15 in hardback, ebook and an audiobook version.
Piers – who has more than seven million Twitter followers – wrote on the platform: "BREAKING: I'm delighted to announce my new book: 'WAKE UP – Why the 'liberal' war on free speech is even more dangerous than Covid-19.'
"Out on October 15th in hardback, ebook & audiobook read by me. (sic)"
The book is being published by Harper Collins, and is being billed as a "rallying cry" for unity and "freedom of speech".
The synopsis reads: "'Wake Up' is Piers' rallying cry for a united future.
"He makes the case that a new type of 'liberalism' has emerged that is not only fundamentally illiberal, but also deeply flawed. 'Wake Up' is a plea for a return to true liberalism, where freedom of speech is king.
"Above all, it's a powerful account of how the world has finally started to wake up, and why it mustn't go back to sleep again."
