What the Pets of The List did over Easter
Leo on his state sanctioned walk
Including lots of sleeping, hoarding Easter eggs and giving birth
The long weekend over Easter is traditionally the ideal time for beer gardens, long walks in the sunshine and family activities revolving around chocolate. While some of us haven't been coping particularly well with the change in routine and tradition, unsurprisingly, our pets seem to be thriving. With this Easter having been a little different for everyone, we asked staff and friends of The List how their best pals had spent the Easter weekend.
This is Leo (pictured above). He turned 10 over the weekend and went on long walks along the coastline and down by the river. He's trying to stretch out his one walk a day as much as possible by running through cliffs and going for swims.
This week Uma helped her owners make an optical illusion. As you can see though, she really couldn't be bothered after the third picture.
Even though Kalman, the black skinny guinea pig, isn't bothered by the lockdown as long as she can sunbathe, she is more than excited about springtime and Easter because her favourite treat is back on the menu: dandelion.
Our white doos have brought two hatches of squabs into the world in the last 10 days.
Mittens has spent most of the long weekend getting cosy and making her bed. As you can see, she has opted for the highly fashionable purple/blue colour combination.
This is Glen, he's an old deaf boy who enjoys sleeping on his owner's bed and sunbathing in the garden. Don't let the deafness fool you though, he loves the sound of his own bark.
Begbie has gone from stockpiling live mice to hoarding Easter eggs, which we're much more happy to find lying around.
We warned Thomas to go easy on the kibble during quarantine, but he didn't pay any attention until we showed him the consequences of his weight gain in a rather 'graphic' manner.
Peanut is quite the ornithologist! He likes nothing more than sitting by a sunny window and watching the birds in the garden. Well, he'd rather be chasing the birds. But he'll leave them be for now as he catches some rays …
