Phoebe Waller-Bridge and the National Theatre bring back the acclaimed theatre production to Soho Theatre On Demand and Amazon Prime Video in April

Who'd have thought that watching Fleabag could be your good deed of the day? Well, believe us when we say it's true, thanks to a new partnership between Phoebe Waller-Bridge, DryWrite, Soho Theatre, Annapurna Theatre, National Theatre Live in London and Amazon Prime Video. The highly acclaimed Edinburgh Festival Fringe mega-hit, which won Waller-Bridge a Fringe First Award in 2013, has since been adapted into an even-more widely praised TV series, which concluded last year but fans were able to catch the original one-woman show when it was broadcast to cinemas by NT Live in September 2019. Recorded to a sold-out crowd at Wyndham's Theatre in London, this version will soon be available to stream at home to raise funds for several UK-based charities that are on the front lines of combatting the COVID-19 pandemic.

As of today (Mon 6 Apr), audiences in the UK and Ireland can stream Fleabag Live via Soho Theatre's On Demand streaming site, after which it'll be available on Soho Theatre On Demand in Australia, New Zealand and Canada, as well as on Amazon Prime Video (US, UK) for two weeks from Fri 10 Apr. For only £4, you can download the production for 48 hours to watch at your leisure, with proceeds being distributed to charities including The National Emergencies Trust (NET), NHS Charities Together and Acting For Others, as well as the newly launched Fleabag Support Fund. This fund distributes grants of £2500 to freelancers working in the UK theatre industry affected by the crisis. Already, support has been kickstarted at £356,000 with a substantial donation from Phoebe Waller-Bridge and further donations from TodayTix and an anonymous donor.

Waller-Bridge said: 'I hope this filmed performance of Fleabag can help raise money while providing a little theatrical entertainment in these isolated times. Thank you to all our partners and to the creative team who have waived their royalties from this production to raise money for such vital causes in this unbelievably challenging situation. All money raised will support the people throughout our society who are fighting for us on the frontlines and those financially devastated by the crisis, including those in the theatre community. Thank you in advance to those who donate. Now go get into bed with Fleabag! It's for charity! Px'
