The Guide to Scotland's Festivals 2020 edition launches

Get ready for this year's festival season with our comprehensive guide to more than 400 festivals across Scotland

The new edition of The Guide to Scotland's Festivals launches today, featuring a comprehensive list of more than 400 festivals covering multiple categories. From theatre to literature, from art to family, the tenth edition of the guide – produced in association with VisitScotland, Creative Scotland and EventScotland – has something for everyone.

In addition to the comprehensive festival listings, The Guide to Scotland's Festivals also features spotlights and panels on a variety of events, including the Islay Festival of Music and Malt, StAnza, Wildhood, Edinburgh International Children's Festival and Ayrshire Real Ale Festival.

This year's guide celebrates the Year of Coasts and Waters 2020, with in-depth features on outdoor festivals such as the Ballater Walking Festival, Muckle Toon Adventure Festival and more waterside counterparts like the East Neuk Festival and Fringe by the Sea. Scottish capital dwellers can also read about all the best summer festivals to keep their (slightly) warmer days busy, and festival goers aiming to keep it green can browse through our tips on how to be environmentally friendly throughout the year.

The Guide to Scotland's Festivals is distributed with the February issue of The List, and by VisitScotland and Creative Scotland to key cultural and visitor hotspots across the country, ranging from museums to shopping centres, and made available at a variety of events. You can also order a copy from The List's online shop or browse through the digital copy.

The List also hosts Scottish festival listings throughout the year on our website. If you are a festival organiser and are interested in having your event listed, please visit this page.
