Academy Award-winning actress revives role of Deloris alongside BAFTA award winner Jennifer Saunders
Sister Act: The Musical is set to return to London this summer for a strictly limited run. Due to phenomenal demand, extra dates have been added to the start of the run, from Tue 21–28 Jul. Tickets for the newly announced dates go on sale at 10am on Fri 7 Feb.
Academy Award-winning actress Whoopi Goldberg will revive her famous role as Deloris Van Cartier with BAFTA award-winner Jennifer Saunders starring as Mother Superior.
Based on the iconic 1992 movie, this newly adapted production pays tribute to the universal power of friendship, sisterhood and music. Sister Act tells the story of a disco diva whose life takes a surprising turn when she witnesses a murder. Under protective custody, she is hidden in the one place she won't be found – a convent! Disguised as a nun and under the suspicious watch of Mother Superior, Deloris helps her fellow sisters find their voices as she unexpectedly rediscovers her own.
Sister Act: The Musical features original music by Tony and eight-time Oscar winner Alan Menken (Disney's Aladdin, Enchanted), energetic choreography and songs inspired by Motown, soul and disco.
Sister Act: The Musical runs from Tue 21 Jul–Sun 30 Aug at the Eventim Apollo in London. Tickets for shows between Tue 21–28 Jul are available from 10am on Fri 7 Feb. Remaining tickets for all other dates are on sale now.
