Amélie: The Musical is the theatrical re-imagining of the beloved five-time Oscar-nominated film released in 2001. The movie was praised for its atmospheric soundtrack, which has been transformed for the stage into a critically acclaimed re-orchestrated score featuring 20 songs.
Amélie will be played by Audrey Brisson, whose stage credits include The Elephantom, Pinocchio, Pericles and The Grinning Man. Further casting is yet to be announced
The musical details Amélie's life and the many secretive, small, but extraordinary acts of kindness she undertakes each day. Her kindness and charm lead her to discover the possibilities around every corner as she brings happiness to those she encounters. When a chance at love comes her way, Amélie realises that to find her own contentment, she'll have to risk everything and say what's in her heart.
