Irish, Latin, Hip-Hop, Afro-Cuban and Contemporary music and dance come together this September
The producers of the smash-hit dance phenomenon Riverdance have announced that their extraordinary dance and music extravaganza Heartbeat of Home will open in the West End in autumn 2019. The show runs from Wed 11 Sep 2019 at the Piccadilly Theatre. Presale tickets for Heartbeat of Home are available from 9am on Thu 9 May ahead of general on sale at 9am Fri 10 May.
Heartbeat of Home has been donned as 'a spine-tingling, tantalizing, high octane and sexy, dance and music extravaganza. A 'heart–stopping tour de force' that dynamically combines components of traditional Irish, Latin, Hip-Hop, Afro-Cuban and Contemporary music and dance.
Following sold out performances at the London Palladium earlier this year and runs in Dublin, North America, China and Germany, the show will take up home at the Piccadilly Theatre. Director John McColgan leads 33 dancers for the new show produced by Moya Doherty.
Speaking of the news McColgan commented 'We are thrilled that Heartbeat of Home is heading to the West End this Autumn. This is a show that fuses together Irish dance with flamenco, tap dancing, tango, salsa and hip hop. We want audiences to come out of the show energized and uplifted by this multicultural dance and music spectacle. We can't wait to be back in London!'
