From award-winning books, to sell-out West End productions, there is plenty of family friendly entertainment to be found at a theatre near you this year. Half-term is on the horizon and before you know it Easter and the summer break will roll in. For those holidays, or the weekend, we hope to inspire you with this list of the best kids theatre shows touring the UK throughout 2019.

From the makers of Peppa Pig came this BAFTA award-winning animation, turned touring stage show. Characters Ben and Holly embark on a musical adventure packed full of songs, games, colourful costumes and more.

Horrible Histories: Awful Egyptians
Making history cool since 1993, Horrible Histories have branched out into live shows. Actors and groundbreaking 3D special effects help tell the fascinating tales of Egypt's Pharaohs and the powers of the pyramids with gruesome laughs thrown in.

Where Is Peter Rabbit?
Technically Peter isn't on tour in 2019 but is instead taking up residency in London's West End with all his friendly pals. This enchanting musical spectacular merges puppetry and music to bring to life the much loved characters penned by Beatrix Potter.

Wallace & Gromit's Musical Marvels
The UK's most dynamic duo are brought to life with help of the Picture House Orchestra and presenter Matthew Sharp. Musical Marvels features the escapades of Wallace as he prepares to perform his musical masterpiece My Concerto in Ee Lad with help from his faithful canine companion Gromit. In true Wallace and Gromit style, nothing could possibly go wrong… could it?

The Worst Witch
Mildred Hubble is an ordinary girl in an extraordinary place: a school for witches. We're Going On a Bear Hunt
Based on the award-winning children's book this is a vivid and energetic tale full of escapades. Characters head out on a quest to find a bear that takes them through swishy swashy grass, the splishy splashy river and the thick oozy, squelchy mud. Guests of all ages can expect catchy songs and an interactive adventure.
